Top Wedding Venues in Philadelphia / New Jersey and Vicinity

As a wedding photographer, I've seen countless weddings and all kinds of venues. These are my favorites.

1.) Front & Palmer (Feast Your Eyes) , in Philadelphia. http://www.frontandpalmer.com/page1/page1.html
Don't let the location fool you. This is an awesome building with a loft style reception/ceremony space. Its super artsy and cool. Its my personal favorite!

2.) The Camden Aquarium, Camden New Jersey. http://www.adventureaquarium.com/cateredevents.aspx
Okay lets face it. This place is expensive. But where else can you have your first dance with the glow of blue water and fish all around you? And the deck area over looking the city is amazing and perfect for cocktail hour. This is the only venue I the list I haven't shot a wedding at (yet) but I just love it.

3.) ValenzanoWinery, Shamong New Jersey.  http://www.valenzanowine.com/facilities.html
I love this outdoor venue. Its so pretty, especially at night. They have a covered dining area, a dance floor and a gazebo all covered in white lights. Sit on a haystack and watch your guests dance!

4.) Private Haven Estate, Freehold New Jersey.  http://www.vacationhomerentals.com/vacation-rentals/Freehold-New-Jersey-vacation-rental-villa-proID-47249.html
This is a vacation home in Central Jersey. I shot a wedding here over the summer and fell in love with this place! It isn't for everyone. It takes a creative eye (or a wedding planner) to turn this place into a real reception venue, but if you can pull it off, its amazing!! Each room is decorated in modern, unique, fun decor. They have an indoor pool,  pool table, theater, and of course an amazing yard for ceremonies. You'd probably just want to stay and have your honeymoon here too. Ha!

5.) Mansion at Ridley Creek, Ridley Creek State Park, PA.  http://mansionatridleycreek.com/
This is a beautiful mansion. They have an area perfect for receptions and the outdoor ceremony area is breathtaking. Such endless possibilities for amazing wedding photos at this venue.

Last but not least, the place I myself got married!

6.) Harmony Gardens, Saylorsburg PA. http://www.loisheckman.com/harmony-gardens
This is a garden at the home of a wedding officiant. It was created specifically for small weddings. I had photographed a wedding inside this officiants home (Lois Heckman) during the fall/winter and I loved her! I knew she had to do my wedding. She told me she had just finished this beautiful outdoor space at her home and it was perfect for our needs. We just had a few close friends and family there for a short but perfect wedding ceremony. Butterflies literally circled around us as we were standing there getting ready to say our vows. Its a beautiful space and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to have a small ceremony.
